This page covers calally.com, the website. The CalAlly mobile app is different: it is a native app, it does not use cookies at all, and its data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
Short version: this website runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no profiling. Nothing is stored in your browser to build a profile of you or to sell to anyone.
What is stored when you just read the site
One cookie, and nothing else.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers which language you chose, so you are not sent back to English on every page | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
This is a preference cookie. It stores a language code such as en or it, nothing that identifies you. Under the ePrivacy Directive (art. 5(3)) cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for do not require consent, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.
The help center loads only when you open it
The button in the bottom corner of the page opens our help center, provided by Featurebase. We load it deliberately: the Featurebase script is not on the page while you read. It is downloaded only after you click the button.
That matters, because once opened it does store things in your browser:
featurebase-anon-id-..., a cookie holding an anonymous ID that keeps your support conversation attached to you across visitsfeaturebase-js:org:...in local storage, a short-lived cache of our workspace settings- as you use the help center, further local storage entries such as
featurebaseIdentifyData,FBVisitedChangelogsTrackerandfeaturebaseRespondedSurveys, which remember who you are in the conversation and what you have already read or answered
These are not strictly necessary to read the site, so we do not load them for everyone. They arrive only when you ask for support, and they exist to make that support work: without them, every reply would come back to a stranger.
If you never open the help center, none of this is written to your browser.
Featurebase is based in the United States, so opening the help center transfers data there. Their handling of it is covered by the Featurebase privacy policy.
What this site does not do
- No Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no PostHog, no Meta Pixel
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking
- No sale or sharing of browsing data with data brokers
Fonts are served from our own domain, not from Google Fonts, so reading the site does not call a third party.
How to remove what is stored
You can clear cookies and local storage for calally.com at any time from your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Site settings. Removing them signs you out of the help center and resets your language preference. Nothing else on the site depends on them.
You can also block cookies entirely. The site keeps working, but it may forget your language between visits.
Changes to this page
If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential technology, we will update this page first, and we will ask for your consent before loading it. Adding tracking silently would contradict how this site is built.
