Question 1

What is CalAlly?

Accepted Answer

CalAlly is an AI-powered calorie tracker for iOS, built around two pillars: voice meal logging (talk to log in 3 seconds) and a 24/7 personal AI nutrition coach with full access to your eating data.

Question 2

Is CalAlly free?

Accepted Answer

CalAlly comes with a 3-day free trial that includes everything: voice logging, the AI coach, and personalized macro targets. After the trial it becomes a paid subscription.

Question 3

What platforms does CalAlly support?

Accepted Answer

CalAlly is currently available on iOS.

Question 4

What languages does CalAlly support?

Accepted Answer

English and Italian at launch. More languages are coming.

Question 5

How does voice logging work?

Accepted Answer

You record a short voice message describing what you ate. The AI breaks down every ingredient, calculates calories and macros, and shows you the full meal. One tap to log it.

Question 6

How accurate is voice logging?

Accepted Answer

Very accurate for everyday meals. The AI shows a full breakdown before you confirm, so you can edit anything that looks off.

Question 7

Do I have to scan barcodes or search a food database?

Accepted Answer

No. Voice logging replaces both. Talk naturally, the way you'd tell a friend.

Question 8

What can the AI coach do?

Accepted Answer

The coach has full access to your eating data, goals, and patterns. Ask anything: "Did I hit my protein this week?", "What should I eat tonight to stay on track?", "Why am I always hungry at 4pm?" Answers are grounded in real meals.

Question 9

Is the AI coach a replacement for a nutritionist?

Accepted Answer

No. CalAlly is a coach in your pocket that helps you stay consistent. For medical nutrition advice (diabetes, allergies, eating disorders, clinical conditions), please see a registered dietitian or physician.

Question 10

Is the coach available all the time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the coach is available 24/7.

Question 11

How is CalAlly different from MyFitnessPal?

Accepted Answer

MyFitnessPal makes you search a database and type. CalAlly logs by voice in 3 seconds. MyFitnessPal splits voice logging, barcode scanning, and macro goals across tiers. CalAlly includes everything in one plan, with a 3-day free trial. And CalAlly gives you a coach with full access to your data, which MyFitnessPal does not.

Question 12

How is CalAlly different from Cronometer?

Accepted Answer

Cronometer is excellent for precise micronutrient tracking. CalAlly is built for speed and consistency. If you want clinical-grade micronutrient analysis, Cronometer is a fit. If you've quit calorie tracking before because logging felt tedious, CalAlly is built for you.

Question 13

How is CalAlly different from Cal AI or photo-based trackers?

Accepted Answer

Photo-based trackers ask you to take a picture of every meal. CalAlly lets you describe meals by voice, which is faster, works for meals you can't photograph well (soups, stews, mixed plates), and pairs with a coach that answers questions about your eating.

Question 14

Is my eating data private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your eating data belongs to you. Always. Never sold, never shared.

Question 15

Can I delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.
