These terms are the agreement between you and Calally. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree with them, do not use Calally.
What Calally is
Calally is an iOS app that helps you track what you eat. You describe a meal by voice or photo, an AI model estimates the ingredients and the macros, and you confirm the entry with one tap. An AI coach has access to your logged data and answers questions about your eating.
We provide the app as it is described here and on this website. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Calally is not a medical device. It is not certified as one, it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it must not be used for that purpose.
Calally does not give medical advice. The AI coach is a coaching tool, not a doctor and not a registered dietitian. Its answers are informational.
The AI nutrition estimates are approximate. When the AI reads a meal from your voice or from a photo, it estimates portion sizes, ingredients, calories, and macros. Those numbers are estimates and they can be wrong. Do not rely on them where accuracy matters medically.
If you have diabetes, a food allergy, an eating disorder, a clinical condition, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to a physician or a registered dietitian before changing what you eat. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Calally, which is the age of digital consent in Italy.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information: the app calculates your targets from what you enter, so wrong data produces wrong targets.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.
Subscriptions, renewal, and refunds
Calally offers a free trial. When the trial ends, continued use requires a paid subscription.
Apple handles the payment, not us. Subscriptions are purchased through your Apple ID and are governed by the App Store terms:
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- You cancel it in the App Store subscription settings on your device, not in the Calally app. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are requested from Apple, through their refund process. We do not process payments and we cannot issue refunds on Apple's behalf.
Prices may change. If they do, the change applies to renewals that come after we have told you, never retroactively.
Acceptable use
Use Calally for what it is for. Do not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or the models
- Use automated systems to scrape the service or to generate load
- Resell or redistribute access to the service
- Upload content that is illegal, or that belongs to someone else without their permission
- Try to bypass usage limits, authentication, or payment
If you do any of these we may suspend or terminate your account.
Intellectual property
The app, the website, the brand, and everything we produce for them remain ours. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you: we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app while your account is active.
The content you enter, your meals, your photos, and your messages, remains yours. You grant us the licence we need to process it in order to provide the service, and nothing more. How we process it is described in our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
Calally is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the AI estimates will be correct.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for lost data, or for decisions you take based on the app's output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by us.
Your statutory rights as a consumer under Italian and EU law are not affected by this section.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the last revision. If a change is significant, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Calally after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory rule of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence.
